Introduce yourself:
My name is Raica Kwizera and I am from Kigali, Rwanda. I am studying Psychology and Computer Science at Pepperdine and my plans after graduation are to do grad school and then start a life for myself in my home country! My career aspirations broadly, are to be self employed and loving and succeeding in what I do!
How do you define success?
I would define success as achieving my goals/ aspirations in life and being happy in the process of doing so. I think achieving something feasible is good but personally, the key is to do something you are content with.
What are your goals/dreams and where do you see yourself in 5 years?
My goal for the next 5 years is to graduate college and grad school and start working in the computer science field on the path to being self employed. I would also like to start some projects in my home country, Rwanda, and see them grow in the coming years.
What is something that motivates you?
I am motivated majorly by my family when I think about the sacrifices they have made to give me such unique opportunities. The undying support they have for everything I do also keeps me going.
What is something that you do (a habit or daily practice) that you believe helps you achieve your goals or be productive?
I like to reflect daily whether it's in the form of journaling and planning my days or even just sitting with my thoughts. This helps me to be aware of what I am doing and continue working towards my goals proactively.
Who is your inspiration?
I’m inspired by many people and all for different reasons! I think there is something to learn from everyone I cross paths with and this motivates me to treat everyone equally because you never know when you will need them.
Life motto or favorite quote?
Be your own biggest fan!
Anything else you want to share? Perhaps a project you’re currently working on or something valuable that you learned from an experience?
I am honored and excited to be a part of this project and I can’t wait to see it flourish!
